With a sign out front that reads Eat Here and Get Gas, you may be put off, or you may be intrigued. May I suggest the latter... This is the quintessential Midwestern small-town diner, attached to a Citgo gasoline station. The menu is fairly limited, but has the charming, unique feel of eating at your great aunt's house. The food is simple, real food. If you're looking for something fancy, this is not the place for you. If you're looking for nostalgic, timeless Midwestern no frills fare, this IS the place for you. Be prepared to be surrounded by people who eat there on a very regular basis (if not daily!), and don't be surprised if they hang out at each others' tables long after their meal is done. I've never been disappointed, and I never went away hungry. I now live over 500 miles away, and really miss the place!
